Originally trading as a public house & grocery under the name of owner Garrett Byrne was then taken over by the Healys in 1961, Phil’s is now in its third generation of ownership, with owner Ger Byrne taking over in 2019, continuing on the long running traditions of quality food & service Phil’s is renowned for. Situated adjacent to Fitzwilliam Square in the heart of historical Wicklow Town it is a social hub for locals & tourists alike.

Phil’s is famous for it’s unique and intimate atmosphere where locals can be found catching up with friends and loved ones over their favourite drink. Sport plays a central role in Phils with all major sporting events shown on our large screen TV’s. Every Saturday and bank holiday Sunday Phil’s transforms from the cosy atmosphere it is so well known for into a late bar serving as the social hub for people of Wicklow Town and the surrounding area’s.
